Los Cabos, Mexico

We were lucky enough to take a break from the rain and head off to Mexico for a week a few days after ringing in the New Year. Chloe had so much fun splashing in the pool, and playing with her bucket and shovel on the beach. It was so nice to feel the sun, and to have some time to relax before what is shaping up to be a pretty busy year. The perfect way to bring in 2010!

30 days until the world arrives in Vancouver for the 2010 Winter Olympics. We're ready to cheer on our team... Go Canada GO!!

What's in that pocket?

We spent Boxing Day with my mom's side of the family at Uncle Pete's place. The girls entertained us with some piano playing, and if they got hungry, Chloe made sure she had lots of snacks close at hand!

Merry Christmas!

Santa was very good to Chloe (and Mommy and Daddy) this year. Many wishes came true including being able to spend time with her family, (over)indulging in all the christmas treats, and of course - the presents!!

Pumpkin Patch '09

It's that time of year again! We took the kids to the pumpkin patch to find the perfect pumpkin to carve for Halloween. It was the same group as last year, but things felt a little different. Chloe is much sturdier on her feet now, and she has enough hair to put in a little pony tail. She can say the word pumpkin, and she has a boyfriend??? Not already!!

Chloe went to visit her friends Connor and Gavin yesterday and they played dress up! Somehow I don't think she wants to be a pirate for Halloween!?

The last bits of summer

Well, the weather is starting to turn and it's really feeling like fall is here. Just before the clouds rolled in we took a trip up to Kelowna to visit Aunty Julie and Uncle Mike. Becky and I took the three kids, and many thanks to Arlene for lending us the truck so we could all fit!
Here's a picture of Chloe and Holly in the truck on the way up. We didn't tell then to hold hands, they just do. Over the weekend it became even more obvious how close these two little girls are. Just like sisters

And together again indulging on some of Aunty's many treats she had for the kids!It's POOL TIME!Nate was awesome in the pool, becoming quite the little swimmer. He had the most fun and the biggest smile running and jumping in with Aunty Julie waiting to catch him. Here's a picture of Becky and Nate Aunty Julie and Macey girl!

"Mommy... are you sure about this?" Chloe's not totally sold on the inflatable turtle at first, but after a few minutes she realizes the turtle is her friend.

And when the novelty of the pool wore off... where to? The Hot Tub!
