Happy Easter!

Easter has come and gone, and we still have so much chocolate in the house!  Chloe LOVES chocolate.  In fact, she loves all things sweet - but her little body doesn't handle it very well.  So, we don't give her a lot of sweets.  It just lets everyone maintain their sanity around here.  Easter Sunday though, that was a different story.  Chloe had three easter egg hunts.  3!  In one day!  I know, I know... what were we thinking?
 
The first one came in the morning at our house.  The easter bunny came and hid little plastic eggs filled with goodies throughout the living room.  Chloe had so much fun finding them all.



Later that day, we went to Whonnock Lake where the community was having an Easter egg hunt for kids of all ages.  We met up with some friends, and let the kids go wild.

Then for a final stop at Grandma and Nonno's house for Easter dinner.  But before dinner, wait, what was that?   Oh, more chocolate??  That's a great idea!   

So a fun filled chocolately day turned into a sleepless, cranky, out of control night, but totally worth it as far as Chloe is concerned.  Thank goodness the Easter Bunny only comes once a year!

Good Friday we had a fabulous dinner at Grandma Arlene's.  After the feast, Chloe and Grandma got to work dying some easter eggs.

Vancouver 2010

Now that the Olympics are over we are feeling a little blue.  It was one of those things that you looks forward to for so long and now that it's over - there's a bit of an empty feeling!  Post Party Depression? The 2010 Blues? Apres Olympic Syndrome? I could go on....

Anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed the big event as it took over our city. It was so cool to see everyone come together and celebrate being Canadian... and that final hockey game was the icing on the cake!

Happy Birthday Chloe!!

I can't believe that our little girl is already 2! Where did the time go? At this rate she'll be graduating from high school before I even know it.  *sigh*  Happy Birthday big girl - we love you!!

Los Cabos, Mexico

We were lucky enough to take a break from the rain and head off to Mexico for a week a few days after ringing in the New Year. Chloe had so much fun splashing in the pool, and playing with her bucket and shovel on the beach. It was so nice to feel the sun, and to have some time to relax before what is shaping up to be a pretty busy year. The perfect way to bring in 2010!
